Christian Ward is SourceMedia’s new Chief Data Officer, a post that was specially created for him by the digital business information provider. SourceMedia focuses on serving senior-level professionals in the financial, technology, and healthcare sectors.

Ward joins with a twenty-year background across financial services, digital marketing and media companies. Most recently, he worked at business listing firm Yext, latterly as EVP of Global Data Partnerships. Prior to this he was Chief Data Officer of Infogroup and Global Head of Content Innovation at Thomson Reuters. Earlier, he co-founded Ockham Research, where he developed a textual decision tree solution for explaining mathematical algorithms and valuations and a natural language processing tool to take unstructured spoken work from TV closed caption feeds, to drive real-time sentiment and valuation analysis. His company was acquired by XRM Global, and he became the firm’s Chief Product Strategist.
