Los Angeles County is looking for a new Chief Data Officer. L.A. County, which includes the city of Los Angeles, is one of the biggest and most ethnically diverse counties in California and its economy is bigger than that of countries like Norway or Belgium.

A report on L.A. County’s search for a new CDO was published in TechWire:

The chief data officer (CDO) leads the Enterprise Information Management Program in the county Office of the Chief Information Officer. “The CDO directs analytic processes, driving innovation and enterprise objectives,” the job posting says. The CDO is a senior executive who reports to the chief deputy director in the Office of the Chief Information Officer and manages 10 employees.

Applicants for the CDO position are encouraged to apply by Dec. 31. The salary range is $137,414 to $207,988 annually. More information on the position, the necessary qualifications and the application process is available online.
