Data analytics firm Guavus has landed a $10.5 million contract with telecom operator Reliance Jio.
Guavus is to provide Reliance Jio with real-time predictive analytics and marketing insights gleaned from the immense pool of data that Jio accumulates from its hundreds of millions of users every day. Reliance Jio hopes it will be able to service its customers better, alleviate critical service issues, and generate more value with the help from Guavus.

Reliance Jio is the world’s largest data service operator with more than 230 million customers using its 4G LTE services.
Headquartered in San Mateo, California, in Silicon Valley, Guavus employs 250 people, of which 140 are based in Gurgaon (India), 60 in California and 50 in Montreal (Canada). The company was acquired by French defence and security major Thales in 2017 for $225 million. Founded by Anukool Lakhina in 2006, Guavus has focused on the telecommunication and cable network operators’ market and analyses more than 5 petabytes (5,000 terabytes) of data for its customers every single day.
